 17 Spectacular themed floats for the parade: 

  • “Meet Me In St. Louis” – Summertime at the 1904 World’s Fair in St. Louis recreates the thrills of the timeless Judy Garland movie, with live performances of the title song and choreographed dance by the Muny Teens. 
  • “Little Mermaid” – With the King of the Sea’s castle as backdrop to an ocean garden paradise, Princess Ariel dreams of another world beside an underwater carousel animated by a giant octopus.
  • “Bugsy Stark” – A speakeasy nightclub hosts gangland patrons wearing three-piece suits with bulletproof vests, enjoying the live jazz provided by Pat Stark’s All Gangster Band. 
  • “Monsters in Movies” – Enjoy “fear at first sight” as the most terrifying movie monsters walk, leap, or fly into a theater playing “The Mighty Kong Gets Revenge.”  The fearsome cast includes Frankenstein, his Bride, the Wolfman, Dracula, the Mummy, Elvira, and many others. ·
  • “Cowboys in Movies” – featuring the Walking Puppeteers with a herd of dancing horses – an all-star cast of cowboy and cowgirl celebrities dance to western swing music before the inevitable brawl erupts.  The tribute lineup will please fans of Clint Eastwood’s Man with No Name, John Wayne, Lone Ranger, Roy Rodgers, Dale Evens, Annie Oakley, and Woody and Jessie from Toy Story. ·
  • “Pirates Of The Caribbean” – The usual salty characters, capture a pirate’s crude charm and the romantic lure of the sea as Captain Jack Sparrow keeps his eye out for Admiral Corrington and his hand to his saber. ·
  • “Jaws” – An undersea puppet theater performance on the theater stage of an ancient city’s ruin at the bottom of a present day ocean, in a coral garden with a ferocious Great White shark on the prowl.·
  • “Curious George” – The mischievous chimp makes the Big Top Circus and stars in his own movie “Show Me the Monkey,” with a 12-piece authentic Circus Band and colorful wagon pulled by a four horse team of Percheron draft horses.·
  • “Dumbo” – The large-eared flying pachyderm takes a break to play in the snow while traveling by circus train with his family. ·
  • “Showboat” – It’s show time on a paddle wheel steamer cruise boat traveling up the Mississippi River, featuring live music with the “Reunion Jazz Band” and choreographed dance.·
  •  “Musical Moments In Movies” – A simulated rehearsal at the Muny reprises songs we love from favorite performances, with roles including Danny and Sandy from “Grease,” Belle and Prince from “Beauty and the Beast,” and Maria and Captain von Trapp from “Sound of Music.”·
  • “Alice In Wonderland” – The hookah-smoking caterpillar, offers Alice a bite of the magic mushroom to bring back the wonders of wonderland.·
  • “Somewhere Over The Rainbow” – Dorothy and various Oz characters dance on the Yellow Brick Road while the Munchkins (played by the all-girl “Maid Rite” band) perform their own arrangement of “Somewhere Over The Rainbow.”·
  • “Movies To Go” – A rented 3D DVD transports your living room to times long ago when dinosaurs roamed the earth. Juvenile dinosaur characters and tropical plants come to life as you experience pre-historic drama and comedy on the big screen. ·
  • “Clifford’s Big Movie” – Pre-school favorite Clifford becomes a movie star as sound, sound, lighting and makeup teams prep the star for his new movie’s publicity promo.
  • “Lost Horizon” – In the mystic land of Khorassan, VP Sentinels stroll the gardens with maidens of the Veiled Prophets Court and share the day’s fresh cut flowers with parade spectators. ·
  • “Fair Saint Louis” – The past and present of St. Louis are combined under the arch with a steam-powered riverboat and live entertainment of celebrities from Fair St. Louis.
