A Night At the Movies

On Saturday, July 3, at 10:00 a.m., the 133rd Veiled Prophet Parade steps off from the corner of Fourth and Washington in downtown St. Louis.

Recognized by USA Today as one of the top ten events in the nation to attend on the 4th of July Weekend, the VP Parade has been a St. Louis Family Tradition for over 130 years.

The theme of this year's parade is "A Night at the Movies" and will feature several new concepts and modified floats.  As part of our theme, our creative staff will create floats to capture the magic of our collective film experiences with a particular emphasis on children's and family films that are big favorites amongst our parade viewers.

The VP Parade is the opening event on an exciting weekend of FREE music, entertainment and fireworks underneath the Gateway Arch.

As a C-130 aircraft passes over the parade route on Market -- and then discharges the U.S. Army Black Daggers (parachute) jump team at the end over the Gateway Arch -- Fair Saint Louis starts at noon on Saturday with 2 days of free music, air shows and the U.S. Bank/Enterprise Rent-A-Car fireworks spectacular each evening.
